In June 2024 my wife and I spotted Elements Cycles as we were driving towards Manosque in our motorhome. My wife had had an annoying rubbing noise from one of her disc rotors on her road bike and neither I nor another bike shop in Carcassonne had been able to resolve it. JĂ©rĂŽme at Elements Cycles knew immediately what the problem was and fixed it for her while we waited. When doing a final check on the brakes, he spotted a hairline crack in the carbon stem. We hadnât noticed it before and we had only recently ridden up and down Mont Ventoux, on some poor surfaces. We were heading towards the Alps and my wife would have ridden it at speed down a number of other descents. If it had snapped, the consequences could have been disastrous. Although the stem was a specific part for the bike set-up with internal cables, JĂ©rĂŽme identified a suitable replacement. We left the bike with him and he ordered the new stem. We had the bike back, fixed and ready to ride within a couple of days. This enabled us to continue with our holiday with little time lost on the bikes. JĂ©rĂŽme and his colleagues were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We couldnât have had better service. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
